The attack in question is Dondokomon's Virus-type attack, but given the error, it seems to be any attack that's classified with that "Empty" keyword. That's at least a workaround for nowĥ) I'm not sure why, but the program is requesting focus (causing the icon to blink on the toolbar on windows machines) but not coming to the forefront of your screen when the Digimon wants attention.

You'd just have to change all the names in the evolutions.csv and parents.csv files, zip them up, and have people drop it into their DVPet.jar. I put in a lot of effort to make it easy to change or add Digimon.
But it shouldn't be hard for someone to make a name pack or something. I just use whatever I feel like, so I'm sure it seems chaotic. I hadn't thought of adding in an option for localized names. Probably not in the alpha version's scope, though. Good point.Ĥ) I considered language options for the text in-game.

It never occurred to me that it might make sense to change it to Botamon, though. The Digimon virtual pet was a toy, released in 1997 by Bandai.What became a TV series, toyline, comic, cardgame, and more began as the simple concept of a Tamagotchi for boys (as Bandai was also the creator of the Tamagotchi). I guess that's what I get for trying to work with level-less Digimon.ģ) I think Yukimibotamon was originally the only Baby I/Fresh stage I was planning on having, which is why it's first in the files. I bought the art book for the pendulum 20th edition, but I haven't gotten around to updating them.Ģ) Not at all. However, a lot of the recent Digimon that got official sprites are still using the ones I cobbled together using cyber sleuth's 4 or so 16x16 sprites for each Digimon. Part of the reason is for posterity's sake. 1) I use whatever I can find, but I prioritize the official sprites.
